Run command without using voice

Postby Krizz » March 1st, 2017, 1:29 am

Hey!

I was wondering if there is a way to get Mark 2 to run commands with actually using voice? I know it sounds weird considering this is a voice command tool, but would it be possible to run a command at a specific time without using voice? Maybe with a script/batch file or 3rd party tool? Or is there maybe a feature within Mark 2 That I have missed?

I'm asking because there is something specific I want Mark to say at 9 AM, without having to click/type or say anything.

All help is appriciated, thanks! :)

Currently, you can make a script to run web request that can do this.
See web service section in wiki.

In next version you can call the commands from command prompt.

You can also use SetTask function to call a command within LINKS on a certain time.
See functions in wiki.

Thanks for a quick reply. I have a few questions.

1. Can I use Set a reminder:
[SetReminder("DateTime","Phrase","Volume")]
To make Mark 2 say something at a specific time?

2. What date format does DateTime use? dd/mm/yyyy, or mm/dd/yyyy.

3. Would it be possible to set it up so that this command runs automatically every day at 9 AM instead of adding a spefic date?

4. Does it matter what category I put it in? (Shell, Web, Social, Default)

5. Would this be the right way to set it up? https://i.gyazo.com/b41b396641c9f6f4a6f ... 178adc.png

6. When I press Update, the command vanishes. How come?

By the way, I am sorry for my lack of knowledge. I have messed around with this back in 2014 but I didn't try anything as techincal as this. Neither am I a coder of any sorts. I would like to say that I think it's great you have released this free to to public. I will donate to show my support :)

Thanks.

Your command looks right, but put it in social... U can put that in response

Grammar: set reminder for something
Response: [set....]reminder set

Let me know if that doesn't work... I'll reply to all ur questions later on.

I tried this: https://i.gyazo.com/9d28997c73501276c13 ... 927c6a.png

1. It ended up saying "done" twice.
2. at 12:02:00 PM it did not say "Good morning".

Make sure the time is set at least 2 mins ahead of current time..

replace speak function with "done"

I managed to get the double "done" gone, by putting it in like so:
https://i.gyazo.com/807cb7feede85afc50e ... 487fc8.png

It is still not saying "Good morning hihi" at the set time. I made sure to set the time 7 minutes ahead. I also tried both date formats just to be sure, 03/01/2017 and 01/03/2017. It makes me wonder.. Is the Mark 2 "clock" set to my systems date and time (UTC +1), or does it use it's own? If it uses it's own that would explain a lot.

Thanks for the continuous support.
