No response for certain social commands via webserver

Postby TexasAutomatons » January 10th, 2019, 1:13 pm

I'm working with the docs and urls to get responses back from my LINKS laptop via my Android phone.
All the commands work fine on the laptop. However, when I use the urls

http://myipaddress:myport/?action=[CallCommand(because why link)]&key=mykey&output=response

and

http://myipaddress:myport/?action=[CallCommand(good morning link)]&key=mykey&output=response

in my browser, both commands are fulfilled by my laptop in the other room, she speaks the response, but only the "good morning link" response is sent to the browser. The other command "because why link" is spoken by the laptop but not sent as a response to the browser, in any of the formats (xml, json, response, plaintext) so my app fails to recognize that LINKS responded

That's where I'm having a problem with my app at the moment. Only a few of my social commands work via my Android app because no response is returned to the browser.

Solved ;)
I realized after several tests and different phrases that I wasn't getting a written returned response when I had punctuation in the Command line in LINKS itself. So, in LINKS, my command was "because why, Link?"

Removing all punctuation in the commands seems to have done the trick ;) I now get the response in the various formats just fine
