Commands deleted by update ( solved)

Postby Davis Zadian » May 6th, 2014, 3:56 pm

I just started up the program and was prompted that an update was available, so I accepted it.... in doing so I have a new version of the software , but ALL OF MY CUSTOMISATIONS have been wiped.

So annoyed. as I had at least 30 in each one.

FYI you can copy paste the commands and save them for now untill we have a backup feature.

Thats great,
Please can you give instruction on how to do the copy and paste, as I can highlight all the commands, but I cannot get a right click menu to appear, and also have tried CTRL+C / V but that does not work either.

Thanks

We are working on a way for users to backup DB. I know this is annoying but this MAY happen again before launch. If we update DB, it does throw off your current DB.

SORRY...next time we will post on here a little warning about DB wiping.

Yep...
I totally am gonna kill some dB's if I upload new code to our TFS server. Many changes on db end. Some new queries... no worries yet...we will try and give a days notice.

SAVE ALL YOUR COMMANDS IN EXCEL, YOU WILL BE ABLE TO PASTE ALL BACK.

WE WILL HAVE SOON A MAYOR UPDATE THAT WILL ELIMINATE ALL YOUR COMMANDS.
THIS UPDATE WILL ASSURE THIS NEVER HAPPENS BECAUSE WE ARE IMPLEMENTING A IMPORT AND EXPORT DATABASE.

ALSO MAKE SURE TO MAKE MORE CATEGORIES:

PROGRAMS/FOLDERS/SOCIAL/WEB/DEFAULT

REMEMBER THIS IS A BETA!

So i take it i will lose ALL my custom commands with each update, until the export and copy paste buttons start working for me again? Thats too bad...

Ill have to back them up manually until then... :)

Paste is broken but copy should work. Select them all and press control c
Or say copy.
Paste was fixed by Zunair just now. Will be included in update tonight.
