  1. Close LINKS
  2. Delete following files from %AppData%\LINKS
    _Grammar_v1.mdf
    _Grammar_v1_log.ldf
  3. Get an older mdf file from %AppData%\LINKS\Data\Backups
  4. Put it in %AppData%\LINKS
  5. Rename the file to _Grammar_v1.mdf
  6. Start LINKS

Note: You will see more backed up data sets (.mdf files) if you click back-up from LINKS back up setting options.

Hi,

So I tried doing a backup by entering my credentials, click backup then click apply and then done. Is this how backup is done? Where does the backup file go? I suppose if I hit restore it will go back to previous settings right? What if I want to copy the entire systems to another computer so I don't have to start from scratch on another computer, what do I do? Do I use export file option?

it only backs up the db.. nothing else.

you can copy the %appdata%/links folder to transfer to another machine. make sure u do this after closing links.

if the other machine has a different user name then u may have to search all files for that old user name and replace it. usually just xml files.

thanks
